I’m Jonathan. I photograph weddings as they really are.
The nervous laughter before the gatecrash. The squeeze of a father’s hand. The friend who cries harder than the bride.
I’ve been photographing weddings since 2013 under Bittersweet, a name that has been keeping it real since 2009. I don’t stage moments or stop your day for the camera. I stay close, stay quiet and stay out of the way, and give you unscripted photographs that feel exactly like the day felt.
From $250 per hourChurch weddings, solemnisations, tea ceremonies and banquets, photographed honestly from the first gatecrash game to the last yam seng.
From $350 1 hourRelaxed sessions at home or outdoors, for the little (and big) moments of family life.
We could be ourselves naturally without having to stage any poses, but yet have organic, undirected photos that turn out to be nothing short of amazing.
What are the memories of a parent? Of a father? Those first steps of a little girl with her cheeky grin, her first words, the first time she says “papa, I love you,” to that day she tells you “papa, I am engaged.”
Weddings are like a mirror. There is sadness, but there is so much happiness as well. It’s love. It’s life. And it’s bittersweet.
